Worried how you're going to keep the kids/grandkids/big kids happy this Easter holidays? The beautiful little market town of Morpeth has held it's Fair day for the last 20 years and this is North's first time! A cracking line up with a day planned from morning till evening with entertainment from Vintage Cars, the annual Parade, a fun fair and the best food and drink money can buy! Sun: 10am-4pm

This is the 4th Midsummer's Evening event in the beautiful little market town of Corbridge and boy to they know how to party! There will be street food, live music, food and craft stalls and late night shopping including stupendous homeware and gift store, Re and award-winning Forum Books. Now at a bigger and better new venue there's something for everyone, even those who can't stand the heat!  As well as the best chilli treats and food stalls the UK has to offer, there's a fantastic line up of bands including 80s icons Heaven 17, along with The Baghdaddies and Smoove and Turrell and many others. Gorgeous event organised by Berwick's very own Slow Food Group, this is the festival's 10th birthday in the beautiful setting of the Barracks with a live music and beer tent next door - simply perfect! Living North’s Christmas Fair has a fantastic new venue this year in the heart of the city this year, Newcastle's iconic Exhibition Park, and it's going to be a stormer! With easy access (just get the bus!), the largest marquee in the North East will be showcasing over 250 handpicked exhibitors from North Chocs to fantastic artisan food producers and unique gift retailers. The tiny but perfectly formed Deli ATC is hosting its annual Xmas evening and North will be there! It may be a little bit of a squeeze but it'll keep us warm! Fabulous hampers, goodies and Xmas bonhomie! 5-9pm

Ran by the fabulous Rival Arts this is one of the longest standing Xmas fairs and, best of all, is undercover! So despite the weather you can shop in comfort with some fabulous, unique craft gifts and local food producers. Sat & Sun: 10am-4pm

Set in the cloisters of the beautiful Durham Cathedral this is truly a spectacular setting to do your Christmas shopping, enjoy a mulled wine, listen to the choir and simply enjoy the atmosphere. One of North's favourites but word of warning - wrap up well! Friday: 10am-6pm, Sat: 9am-5pm, Sun: 12noon-3pm.

This is always a goodie set in the beautiful market town of Hexham with a choir, over 100 stalls and a beautiful festive atmosphere! It's also North's last fair of the season so head on down and hope to see you there! Fri: 2pm-7pm, Sat: 9am-3pm. 

North's first event of the season and what a whopper! This annual celebration of Yorkshire's famous and unique pink vegetable sees fantastic artisan produce (often with a rhubarb twist, natch), cookery demos - including Jean-Christophe Novelli, street entertainment and, last but by no means least, Dame Ruby Rhubarb. You have been warned...Make a weekend of it and come say hello!  

Spring may have finally sprung and North will be at this fantabulous foodie haven with a host of other producers. There may even be a few Easter treats... 10am-3pm

North's first foray to this stunning grass-roofed Lakeland heritage centre and gallery, set in a former quarry. We will be there along with other artisan food producers, artists and craft and jewellery makers and, with Easter the following weekend, it's your perfect chance to stock up! Sat & Sun: 10am-4pm

If you haven't been to The Sill and its delicious environs then you're missing one of the finest new venues the North East has to offer. A youth hostel, exhibitions, fab cafe and, for Easter Sunday only, North Chocolates!  Come and decorate your very own chocolate lollies with only a smidge of mess and mayhem to get you into the Easter swing of things. This is simply one of the busiest and cracking events the North East has to offer with celeb chefs, demos, entertainment and the best locally produced grub up for grabs! This year sees Phil Vickery, Candice from Celeb Bake Off and Coronation Street actor turned cheese Maker Sean Wilson (aka Martin Platt) doing their thang and of course, North Chocolates! One of the most scenic settings for a food and drink festival you'll ever come across! Set on the coast in the town's Priory grounds this is a weekend of fabulous food and street stalls, entertainment and a chance to look out to sea and dream a little - whilst having a pint and quaffing your Souvlaki. This is our first foray to Pontefract and we've been frantically making our award-winning Liquorice & Blackcurrant bar for those who love the black stuff! Great local producers, tonnes of things to do and even a huge cinema at Pontefract Castle! 10am-4pm

This is a mini cracker in the beautiful town of Saltburn and described by The Sunday Times as just one of the reasons Saltburn is “one of the best places to live in the UK.” Northern produced food, drink and crafts are in abundance with loads going on and right by the sea! This is such a brilliant little town with it's own film festival and this weekend's its annual SlowFood & Beer festival which is an absolute cracker. Set in the Barracks, treat yourself to a wander around the town (great little indy shops), a mooch over the ramparts and then come and imbibe the good stuff! Oh my the Festival of Thrift literally goes from strength to strength flexing its creative muscles even further every year. Sustainable living is at the festival's heart with workshops (ceramics, bread and blacksmithing to name but a few), a joyous outdoor performance celebrating women & cycling & fashion - Blazing Saddles natch - amazing stalls and entertainment, an Oxglam fashion show and oh,  just too much to mention here!
